IVUS Case Competition

The IVUS Case Competition is back!

The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) promotes the high-quality practice of interventional radiology through a wide range of educational activities. Among the society’s areas of focus, vascular interventions is a top priority.

To this end, SIR is pleased to announce the relaunch of the Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) Case Competition, seeking the most compelling, complex, and/or competition-worthy arterial and deep-venous cases performed by SIR members worldwide.

We encourage current IR residents to submit IVUS cases according to the following parameters:

Cases must be submitted prior to Friday, May 16, 2025.

• Active SIR member
• Interventional radiology physician-in-training (resident/fellow)

• PowerPoint format
• Highlights the value/importance of Philips Healthcare's IVUS imaging technologies
• Features on-label use of IVUS technology
• May fall within any appropriate disease state (venous, PAD, AAA, AV access and so on)
• Includes relevant patient history
• Maximum (10) slides
• Winner will be recognized at the SIR Residency Practicum (June 5-7)
• Please submit case slideshow via email to Stacy McManus using the email listed below
• Cases must be submitted prior to Friday, May 16, 2025.
• By entering the competition, participants acknowledge their contact information may be shared with the sponsor of the competition, Philips Healthcare.
