The University of Florida Interventional Radiology Independent Residency Program is looking for a residency candidate for a position starting July 1, 2025.
Applicants with or without ESIR (one- or two-year track) will be considered. Our training program has 4 positions every year for PGY 6/7 trainees.
The University of Florida IR Program prepares trainees for practice in academic or private practice through high-volume training with high levels of autonomy. Most rotations are at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville Florida, a 1000-bed tertiary referral center with level 1 trauma and transplant programs. Example procedures fellows will master include: Y90 (mapping, dosimetry, and administration), complex trauma embolization, tumor ablation procedures, and TIPS creation. Example case logs are available, and procedure counts are typically greater than 1000 cases per year per fellow.
