Program development
Residency Essentials provides a universal curriculum that will enhance the breadth and consistency of residency training in accordance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) guidelines and expand training in disease-specific areas not specifically addressed by ACGME.
To address this goal, a comprehensive curriculum was created. Primarily developed by APDIR members and subject matter experts familiar with ACGME requirements, the curriculum will provide all interventional radiology residents with well-rounded knowledge, from the essentials of clinical IR care to disease-specific treatments, research fundamentals, and the business and economics of medicine.
Benefits
Residency Essentials will drive the future of IR, delivering curated, consistent and standardized education for all residents, regardless of program pathway, to produce innovative, highly trained interventional radiologists.
Benefits for program directors
Clinical modules help fulfill the 2-year IR didactic ACGME requirements. Private reporting portal to view resident's progress.
