This month's journal based article is titled: Safety and Efficacy of Early Primary Stent Placement for Hepatic Artery Stenosis in Liver Transplant Recipients

This is a single-center retrospective review to evaluate the use of primary endovascular stent placement for treatment of hepatic artery stenosis after liver transplant.  Specifically, the authors examined those patients treated <30 days after transplant to those >30 days after transplant.

Following completion of this CME activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Understand the primary patency of transplant hepatic artery stenting.
  • Describe the difference in primary patency rates for early vs late stenting.
  • Understand adverse events observed with transplant hepatic artery stenting.
This program is designed to meet the educational needs of interventional radiologists, nurses, techs, and trainees at all levels with special interest in managing patients with transplant hepatic artery stenosis.
