SIR joined forces with the Association of Black Cardiologists, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and the Society for Vascular Surgery to relaunch our Get a Pulse on PAD campaign in celebration of PAD Awareness Month! Together we’ll be raising awareness about the importance of early PAD detection to combat the nation’s amputation crisis. You can join us in this effort by sharing your treatment stories using the hashtags #PulseonPAD and #PADAwareness. In addition to the joint campaign, SIR’s social media accounts also shared explainer videos from SIR’s PAD Clinical Specialty Council, as well as other infographics and patient resources.

Finally, the PAD Collaborative, of which SIR is a founding member, has published a heat map to raise awareness about the growing amputation crisis related to peripheral artery disease and to help start a conversation with referrers, patients and local decision-makers about ways to prevent amputations and improve PAD screenings. The collaborative has developed a toolkit to help you use this map and raise awareness.
