- RE-ACCREDITATION IN PROCESS - CREDIT AVAILABLE IN NOVEMBER
This activity covers all major aspects of patient care in vascular and interventional radiology. Written by top experts in their areas of specialty, topics include vascular evaluation, neurologic evaluation, hepatobiliary evaluation, genitourinary evaluation, cardiac evaluation, pulmonary evaluation, hypertension, renal insufficiency, hematologic disorders, antibiotics, analgesia and sedation, cardiopulmonary emergencies, vascular complications, liver failure, renal failure, post procedural pain, wound management, and more.
This educational activity has been developed to meet the educational needs of interventional radiologists, both practicing and in training, and other physicians with special interest in IR, in an instructional text format.
To complete this CME activity, you must first read the Patient Care in Vascular and Interventional Radiology (3rd ed.) syllabus. The syllabus can be purchased at the IR store.
After purchasing the syllabus, chapter assessments will be available in your SIR Learning Center account. Each chapter is approved for 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians do not have to complete all of the chapter assessments to claim their CME certificate for this educational activity.
Learning Objectives
After participating in this activity, learners should be able to:
- Manage pre-procedural patient assessment including determination of relative risks to appropriately triage patients scheduled for interventional radiologic procedures to limit complications.
- Demonstrate appropriate periprocedural patient management both inside and outside the interventional radiologic suite, resulting in improved patient care and reduced morbidity.
- Identify common postprocedural clinical management issues which arise in patients seen in interventional radiology.
